How to make Apricot Lassi?

Apricot has got so many health benefits. Apricot is rich in Vitamin A, Potassium and has high fiber. It is available during May till July. Whenever I buy Apricot, I either make smoothie or jam. This time I thought I’ll make Apricot Lassi. I prefer fresh apricots to dried ones. Dired apricots lose their water content because of the drying process that they goes through. If you have apricots and curd/yoghurt at home, you could make this Apricot Lassi. Apricot has a sweet flavor so if you even add less sugar, it will taste good. A super tasty and refreshing smoothie!

How to make Apricot Lassi?

Ingredients

Apricot – 2 cups (halved and pitted)
Fresh curd/yoghurt – 1 cup
Water – little less than 1/4 cup
Honey – 1 tablespoon

Preparation

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve chill.

Notes.

  • Use apricots that are plumpy and also golden in color.
  • Use fresh curd/yoghurt.
  • You can also add 1/2 cup of ice cubes.
  • You can add a pinch of cardamom powder or a drop of vanilla essence.

Mango Lassi | Mango Lassi Recipe

Mango LassiI love mangoes. I love to try out as many mango recipes as possible during summer. This summer, my mom requested me to make Mango Lassi. She came here just to spend some time with me. I said yes and last Friday, I made this yummy Mango Lassi for her.

I also had a surprise guest at home that evening. My guest loved it to the core. When you are planning to throw a party, you can make this recipe which is very easy to make as well tasty too. You can definitely not go wrong anywhere. All you need is the curd. You can also play with the ingredients (i.e) you can add increase or decrease an ingredient as per your desire. My mom makes plain lassi often. I make Mango Lassi occasionally that is because I cannot eat too much of mangoes. Stay tuned for more mango recipes.

Mango Lassi

Ingredients

Ripe Mangoes (peeled and chopped) – 1 cup
Curd/Yoghurt – 1 cup
Milk – 1/4 cup
Sugar – 4 tablespoon
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Preparation

1. Add mango pulp to the blender and blend until smooth. Whisk the curd and add it to the blender.

2. Also add milk, sugar, and cardamom powder. Blend until smooth.

Now, Mango Lassi is ready! Serve chill. If you want you could also add ice cubes at the time of serving.

Notes.

  • Use mangoes that are preferably not fibrous.
  • The quantity of milk, sugar, cardamom powder, and water could be adjusted according to your taste buds.
