Mushrooms – 1 Cup (Cut each mushroom into four pieces)
Finely Chopped Ginger – 1 and 1/2 inch
Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves – 4
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 Teaspoon
Chilly Powder – 1/4 Teaspoon
Oil – 1 Tablespoon
Salt – as desired
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds splutter, add ginger and garlic. Cook in high heat for 5 seconds and then add mushroom pieces. Add chilly powder and salt. Stir well for 3 to 4 minutes in high flame.
2. When the water from the mushroom evaporates, switch off the gas, and empty into a bowl immediately otherwise mushroom will turn soggy and overcooked if it remains in the hot kadai.
